The local legislation calls for the employers to report prescribed accidents and dangerous occurrences to the Health & Safety Authority. Accident and incident investigation is a reactive management tool to ensure that once an accident or incident has occurred - necessary lessons are learnt, that the underlying causes both immediate and root causes are identified and that corrective action is taken to prevent reoccurrence.
