COURSE OBJECTIVE

There is legislation in place that calls for the reporting of some accidents and it is good practice to have systems in place that investigates all accidents and near misses to prevent a recurrence and determine the root causes.

The course is intended to:

  • Ensure that there is a consistent approach to accident reporting and investigation.
  • Determine the elements that are need to be covered in an investigation to ensure clarity and fairness.
  • The course is highly interactive with group discussions & exercises and will enable delegates to build on existing skills.
  • Emphasis is placed on practical application of assessment knowledge and skills.
  • Realistic case studies and group discussions allows candidate to apply skills and knowledge to all stages of the assessment process.
